Tommy Adams Returns to Italy
July 21, 2010 – Longtime Pro Partner client Tommy Adams has signed for the 2010/2011 season with Scafati Basket of Italy’s LegaDue, another stop in Adams’ successful career. His eight years of professional ball have included preseason action in the NBA and an international career spanning three continents. Last season, Adams played with Fileni Bpa Jesi of Italy’s LegaDue, averaging 18.5ppg, and 1.8spg. He led the league in three-pointers made, shot an impressive 40.7% on his three point attempts, and also led the league at 92.5% from the free throw line.
Adams reports that he truly enjoyed competing in Italy last season, describing it as a beautiful country with friendly people and excellent basketball. He is very happy to return for another year, not the least bit emboldened by his wife, who he says “absolutely adores the place.”
Tommy looks forward to playing in Scafati, excited to join the newly signed point guard Mats Levin of Sweden and his experienced ball handling skills. The two will team with powerful Italian center Roberto Chiacig, creating an imposing starting lineup.
Adams sums up the signing, saying “You hope each year that you’ve played well enough to land yourself a spot on a good team the next year. I’m extremely fortunate to have done so again, and have high expectations for next season.”
