Prezzie-Blue Signs With Worcester Wolves

July 13, 2011– Pro Partner’s Sherrad Prezzie-Blue has signed with the Worcester Wolves of the British Basketball League. The Wentworth ’08 graduate has spent his entire professional career in the United Kingdom, the last two seasons with the Worthing Thunder. Sherrad will look to help Worcester improve on their 9th place finish last season, which saw them miss the BBL playoffs by just two games.

“I’m really looking forward to playing for Coach James and the Worcester Wolves” said Prezzie-Blue. “Coach James is so well respected around the league, and I know that I’m going to fit into the style of ball that they play. I’m planning on giving 110% every day and making an immediate positive impact.”

Prezzie-Blue promises to be a centerpiece of the Wolves offense. Last year, Sherrad led Worthing in scoring, assists, steals and minutes played (averaged 18.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.8 spg). He scored a season high 31 points on 2/5/11, including going 7 for 12 from the 3-point line, which led Worthing to victory over the Milton-Keynes Lions. His defensive skills earned him a spot on EuroBasket.com’s BBL All-Defensive Team.

“We’re thrilled to see Sherrad’s hard work and dedication pay off” said Pro Partner’s Nick Zaccardi. “Year after year, Sherrad continues to take his game to the next level and he consistently puts himself in a position to move on to bigger and better opportunities.”
