Starwings signs Dobbins

July 22, 2012 – Pro Partner Sports Management’s Justin Dobbins has signed a contract to play for Starwings Basket Regio Basel in Switzerland’s top league during the 2012-13 season. Starwings, which finished sixth in the league with a record of 9-15, will welcome the inside scoring and rebounding presence that Dobbins brings as the club looks to improve on last year’s first-round playoff exit.

Dobbins played the majority of last season with the Sheffield Sharks in the British Basketball League before moving to the MK Lions. In 19 games with the Sharks, Justin averaged 16.6 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 1.4 big and in the final six games with MK Lions, he averaged 17.3 ppg and 9.8 rpg, while shooting 59.7% from the field. Dobbins spent the 2010-11 season with the Worcester Wolves of the United Kingdom BBL and averaged 17.9 ppg and 7.8 rpg. Dobbins graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2010 where he received All-League honors in the Mid-American Conference as a senior.
