Tokyo Cinq Reves sign Jared Carter

August 8, 2012 – Pro Partner Sports Management’s Jared Carter has signed a deal to play for Tokyo Cinq Reves in the Japanese Basketball Japan League. The Cinq Reves is an expansion team that will play its first games in the BJ League this season. Translated from French, the team name means “Five Dreams”. The Japanese BJ League sports 20 teams including 2011-12 league champions Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa.

Jared Carter played last season with the Summerside Storm in the NBL Canada where he averaged 5.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg, and 1.1 bpg, while shooting 48.7% from the field. Carter’s 1.1 bpg were good enough for fifth overall in the league. The 7’1 Carter, a four-year letter-winner at Kentucky who graduated in 2009, will add a crucial inside presence to his newly formed team as they strive to join the elite clubs of the Japanese BJ League.

“Jared has all the physical gifts necessary to make a tremendous impact Japan” said Pro Partner’s Nick Zaccardi.  “With his size, strength, and hustle, Jared is going to make a big splash for the Cinq Reves in their inaugural season.”
